Daily Update – May 10, 2017

Tampa Bay Rays – Rays (16-19) fell to the Kansas City Royals (12-20) in Tampa Wednesday, 7-6 in 12 innings. MLB.com game recap here! The two teams will play the final game of this 3-game set tonight at 7:10pm in Tampa. The game will be broadcast on Fox Sports Sun, MLB.com game preview here!

Florida Fire Frogs – The Daytona Tortugas (19-14) beat the Fire Frogs (16-17) yesterday, 2-1 in Daytona Beach. MiLB.com game recap here! The final game of the three game series will be this morning at 10:35am in Daytona. Live streaming audio for the game will be available here!

Orlando City SC – Orlando City founder, Phil Rowlins, is moving out of Orlando. He is going into semi-retirement but will keep his position as Life President of Orlando City SC and still represent the Lions at MLS meetings and functions. Atlanta Braves (Spring Training) – The Sarasota County Commission approved partial funding for a new training camp for the Braves, if the rest of the funding is found, the Braves will no longer have spring training in Orlando, and move to Sarasota in 2019. BallparkDigest has more details here!

UCF Baseball – UCF (33-15) head to Miami to take on the Hurricanes (24-23) today. UCFKnights.com preview here! The game starts at 7pm tonight and live streaming audio will be available here!

UCF Softball – UCF (29-22) takes on East Carolina (25-29) in the first round of the The American Championship conference tournament today in Greenville, North Carolina, at 1pm. UCFKnights.com preview here!

UCF Women’s Golf – UCF had a better day Tuesday at the NCAA Athens Regional tournament, hitting a combined 299, compared with a 304 Monday, but are still tied for 11th overall. The top six teams will advance to the NCAA Championship, and today is the final round of the regionals. UCFKnights.com recap of round 2 here!

Rollin’s Men’s Golf – Rollins hit a combined 295 on Tuesday in the NCAA Division II South/SE Region Tournament, and moved up to 19th overall. Rollinssports.com recap here! The third and final round of the tournament is today.

Rollin’s Women’s Golf – Rollins remained in 5th place in the NCAA Division II Super Region Tournament after the 2nd round Tuesday. Rollinssports.com recap here! Third round of the tournament will be today.
